AUTUMN TIDE

I don't know about any of you, but I'm thrilled Autumn is finally here! Cooler temperatures, lower humidity, and beautiful landscapes! Oh, and of course Radio Mystic's annual Autumn Tide program!

AutumnTide is just a journey of music to chill too. To just sit back and relax. To throw all cares aside, just for a little while. Admit it, we all need some time to just unwind.

Much of the music I selected this year is from late 80's to early 90's. With just a hint of recent flavor.

If all goes well, AutumnTide should debut this year on October 15th....from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Keep Checking the website for updates.

Now you can anticipate a cooling Tide to wash over you - where you can forget about your responsibilities and just chill, while enjoying some good, peaceful music....The Autumn Tide.

Have you ever heard of an artist by the name of "ENYA"?

That's right friends...Enya is coming out with a new full length album....a lot sooner than you might think!

According to her website the new album is titled "And Winter Came". The first single, 'trains and winter rains', along with the album, are due for a November release.

I think it is safe to say every new age/Celtic fan on the face of the planet has heard of Enya. Previous Enya albums have been known to stay on the billboard adult contemporary charts for up to FOUR years! Greatly accomplished and very well known. In fact, many fans state "if not for enya" they'd not be fans of this genre of music.

The new album was to be a holiday album only but quickly became a winters seasonal album where 'Christmas' just happens to fall in the season of winter.

The track listing for this album is as follows:

*And Winter Came
* Journey of the Angels
* White is in the winter night
* O come, O come, Emmanuel
* Trains and winter rains
* Dreams are more precious
* Last time by moonlight
* One toy soldier
* Stars and midnight blue
* The spirit of Christmas past
* My! My! Time flies!
* Oiche Chiuin (chorale)

I am extremely excited about this new album. And if by some very slim chance you've never heard of enya, go buy one of her previous albums--I suggest starting with "Watermark" or "Shepard Moons". You will not be disappointed!

Tim McGowan's crankin' em out

In a recent message from musician Tim McGowan:
"Just thought I would let you know...I have 7 completed tracks for my next release, 3 or 4 more to go. No set in stone title as yet but certainly it's music to get wives all across America, if not the world, in the..erm...mood! YES! WIVES in the mood! That should give you a hint of the theme. Just doing what I can to help my fellow man."

Well Tim, definitely looking forward to hearing some tracks - seeing as the Axe phenomenon still manages to escape me. Keep us posted!

Dinner with ELU and a new podcast soon

We're working on something special for the next E*SCAPES podcast. I got to sit down a couple of weeks ago with Jeff and Dee from the band ELU, to talk about their new CD "Beautiful Things" and enjoy some tasty steaks at the Gruet Steakhouse here in downtown Albuquerque.

I'm working on editing and tweaking the audio (which thanks to lots of background noise is proving to be lotsa fun to mess with!) so we should have the show ready for you by the end of September. Don't hold me to that though - got the hands full on this one - live audio is a different beast than being in the comfy surroundings of a controlled studio environment!
Plus watch for ELU CD giveaways to coincide with the podcast. I think you'll really enjoy it - these two were a blast to hang with! In the meantime, get your buns over to ELU's Myspace page and listen to their stuff.
